High Road Drones has the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Permissions for Commercial Operations (PfCO) which means, as a licensed commercial operator of UAV’s (unmanned aerial vehicles) we are governed and regulated by the CAA.

The PfCO is mandatory for anyone operating commercial UAV businesses in the UK. 

There are strict rules and regulations which are pilots have been trained to adhere by. This ensures that safety is always paramount whilst capturing your stunning footage. 

The conditions for operating SUA are detailed below in accordance with UK national legislation CAP 722 and CAP 393

  • Always maintaining Direct line of sight with the drone at all time to a maximum of 500m

  • Fly up to 400 feet above ground level (Special permission for higher flights can be obtained from the CAA

  • Must have Landowners permission for takeoff and landing

  • Every job requires a detailed site and risk assessment

  • During takeoff and landing maintain a distance of 30m from people and property not in control of the pilot

  • Restriction and rules apply to flying near airports and certain areas of central London
